WILD THINGS 2 DAY TRAINING COURSE – 2 Days May 11, 2019
This is a 2 day Wild Things Training course.
This course focuses on trail runners and the remote areas they explore. On this course we look at gear requirements for long runs, navigation using topographic maps (on and off track), running in varied terrain, managing an injury and overnight survival.
This is a popular course for people that are moving into trail running in remote locations, or run in areas that are restricted in mobile phone coverage
This course is specifically designed for Wild Things VIP Members, proof of membership must be provided on booking.
This course is delivered in the Craigieburn Forest Park near Castle Hill Village Village. We meet at 8am in Darfield (approx 40 mins from Christchurch). From darfield we drive into the hills and onto our course location parking at Texas flats, Mt Cheeseman.
TRAVELLING FROM OUT OF TOWN?
Lots of people travel to attend our navigation and bushcraft courses and we like to make it easy. We off a free pick up/drop off service for people for people traveling from out of town from the airport and Christchurch city centre accommodation. Talk to one of our friendly team about our pick-up/drop off service.
WHAT GEAR WILL I NEED FOR THIS COURSE?
Just your trail running shoes, your normal running clothing, a compass and some food. We will send you a detailed gear list once your booking has been processed.
If you not sure you have everything you need for the course, no need to stress. We have all the gear and equipment available for you to hire. Just add a note to your booking or give us a call to organize your gear rental in advance.
