1-day Sit On Top Kayak Course
SIT ON TOP KAYAK COURSE OVERVIEW
A 1-day sit on top kayaking course for people looking to explore local harbours, lakes and bays safely. Spend the day learning efficient paddle strokes and self rescues.
We welcome families and children on this course but recommend that if you are booking as a family, to chat with our office first. While we have no minimum age to attend the training, all children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult that can actively support them during the rescues.
**This is our most popular training course for families. Prior experience is not necessary**
This course is delivered in Lyttelton Harbour, close to Christchurch. The course starts at Charteris Bay (30 mins from Christchurch) at 9:00 am. We access the water and utilise the picturesque and sheltered area of the harbour to practise our paddling techniques and rescues.
The course finishes at 4 pm in Charteris Bay (approx 50mins from Christchurch airport).
