3 Day Bush Consolidation Trip December 11, 2021
This is a 3-day Bush Consolidation Trip
Bush Consolidation Trip Overview
On this bush consolidation trip, you will have the opportunity to practice the skills learnt across our courses in a tramp setting. The tramp allows time for those who are looking to gain more confidence or support in getting into an advanced tramping route/off-track trip with an instructor. This is an above the bush line trip where you can expect multiple river crossings, mixed terrain travel and camping in tents.
Delivered by our highly skilled local guides and instructors you will have the opportunity to be in the driver’s seat to make the decisions around route choice, weather and the group with the safety net of an instructor to support you.
We have designed the overview of the route and we complete all the planning for you. After a handover in the morning before we leave, the group then takes over and manages the tramp while being overseen by the instructor. If there are a few skills you would like to revisit or practice for refinement across the trip the instructor will be happy to cover these with you. However, this is not a teaching course so no new skills will be taught.
This is a popular course for people looking to take on overnight trips that may take you over alpine passes or for people looking to gain confidence in the wilderness and explore the New Zealand backcountry.
*A minimum OENZ 3-day bushcraft course or equivalent is required to attend this consolidation tramp.
