2 DAY NAVIGATION & BUSHCRAFT November 21, 2020
This is a 2-day navigation & Survival bushcraft course.
This course focuses on multi-day tramps/hikes in New Zealand. On this course we look at trip planning, NZ weather, packing and gear requirements for extended trips, and navigation using topographic maps.
This is a popular course for people that are experienced day walkers, hunters or people that are part of tramping groups/clubs that would like to upskill or extend their personal knowledge or move onto doing multi-day or off-track trips.
This course is also suitable for people working towards an NZOIA (New Zealand Outdoor Instructors Association) Bush Leader or Bush1 awards.
This course is delivered in the Craigieburn Forest Park near Castle Hill Village Village. We meet at 8 am in Darfield (approx 40 mins from Christchurch). From Darfield, we drive into the hills and onto our course location parking at Texas flats, Mt Cheeseman.
