Hiking in Lewis Pass National Park New Zealand
Bush consolidation trip -Lewis Pass National Park

BushCraft Consolidation Course Overview

On this 3-day trip, you will complete one of the classics off-track trips in Lewis Pass National Park, Mt Faust to Boyle Flats Hut loop. Guided by one of our qualified instructors you will have the opportunity to practice your navigation, route finding and wild camping skills.

Completing a consolidation trip is a great way to build confidence, explore a new area and meet other like-minded people. This trip is a popular course for people looking at taking on overnight trips that may take you off track or over alpine passes.

We have designed the overview of the route and we complete all the planning for you.  After a handover in the morning before we leave, the group then takes over and manages the tramp while being overseen by the instructor.

Please note, this is a consolidation trip. If there are a few skills you would like to revisit or practice the instructor will be happy to cover these with you. However, this is not a teaching course so no new skills will be taught.

Prerequisites

*A minimum OENZ 2-day bushcraft course or equivalent is required to attend this consolidation tramp. If you have completed training with another provider or club please give us a call before booking.
