4 Day Sea Kayak Course
This is a 4-day sea kayak course.
4 DAY SEA KAYAK COURSE OVERVIEW
This four-day sea kayaking course includes the two-day introductory course and two days extending those skills. The focus is on excellent boat control and advanced paddle strokes as well as introducing rolling techniques. You will gain the skills and confidence to explore rocky shorelines, and sea caves as well as paddling in a current.
This is a popular course for those who have limited sea kayaking experience and would like to get some professional guidance. This course is appropriate for people that have little or no experience and would just like to give it a go.
This course can be delivered from Lyttelton Harbour, Sumner beach &/or Monks Bay, with the rolling component of the course pool based. We have the flexibility in the course to change locations to get the best conditions available on the day.
Day 1: Will meet at Charteris Bay Lyttleton Harbour at 9:00 am
Day 2: Lyttelton harbour based
Day 3: Christchurch beach areas TBC on weather and tides
Day 4: Pool based for rolling (half-day), classroom-based for the afternoon.
