This course includes an introduction to the BAA (Backcountry Avalanche Advisory), search rescue techniques as well as safe terrain travel and more. A course for walkers, climbers, skiers and boarders. This 2-day introductory course is approved by MSC (New Zealand Mountain Safety Council).

A 4-day backcountry course for walkers and climbers designed to extend skills learned on an introductory course. With a focus on practical skills, including snowpack stability assessment and terrain assessment. Designed to meet the needs of recreational users in New Zealand.
